Central Plumbing Specialties is a New York City based plumbing and heating wholesaler and retailer that has been in operation since 1963. We have several showrooms throughout New York City, Yonkers, and Rockland County. We are known for carrying sophisticated products from some of the best companies in the plumbing industry. Although our high-quality inventory speaks for itself, our primary focus is on excellent customer service.

Currently, we are looking for a Counter Sales Representative to join our Yonkers location. The ideal candidate will be highly driven, eager to achieve goals, and able to work well within a group. The candidate who is chosen will be thoroughly trained on product knowledge and will be developed for future success in our company. Job Responsibilities:

· Assist customers as first point of contact while listening attentively to their needs

· Identify customer solutions to provide product information, specifications, and pricing

· Write up sales orders while providing accurate quotation detail

· Process and place customer’s orders in our Eclipse point of sale system

· Pull, pick, and pack up the customers product to build orders

· Handling customer orders and transaction process from start to finish

· Proactively track orders in computer system for customer and processing efficiency

· Organize and maintain inventory accuracy by physical and ERP system control

· Liaison between Warehouse and sales team on orders to enhance internal communication

· Act as back up to pull, pack, ship, and load orders as required for other Sales team members

· Assist Warehouse team receiving, unloading trucks, and checking in merchandise

· Move materials from receiving or storage areas to shipping or to other designated areas

· Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, and color or product code.

· Mark materials with identifying information using appropriate method.

· Perform facilities maintenance duties to maintain a clean and organized working area

· Consistently practice safety and report opportunities for improvement

Candidate Profile:

· Plumbing and heating experience is not required

· Prior sales and customer service experience is a must

· Computer literacy and working knowledge of an ERP system is preferred

· Capable of physical demands such as standing, climbing, and carrying heavy loads

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
